I have some chocolate cherry tomatoes ripe at the moment. They have the best taste over red ones. I wonder if the same is true for your peppers?

I don't know that I would want to eat brown peppers...i think my mind would keep telling me that it had gone bad... :-(

Matron - the pepper was very thin-walled but extremely sweet. I love my black tomatoes which are much sweeter than red ones, so there does seem to be some truth to the idea that darker colours have more intense flavour.

Tanya - do you think chocolate has gone bad then? Seriously, it takes a bit of a mental adjustment, like purple carrots do, but once I get through the first meal, I generally relax completely about 'weird' coloured food.
